Best Cannoli...

I first tasted this traditional Sicilian dessert during my first high school job at a local Italian hot spot called Vincenzo's. Typically, I am not a dessert person, I prefer savory flavours over sweet, but when I first bit into this fried, flaky little cannolo, or "tube" full of creamy cheesy, cinnamon and chocolate goodness, it was love at first bite... 

When I was touring around Italy, I searched high and low for the best cannoli, and found it in Florence, or Firenze in a little patisserie called Gilli. As you can see from the front window, they had pastries and cannoli's in all different shapes and sizes, some stuffed with cherries, others cannulicchi (miniature), and of course the downtown Florence background didn't hurt to enjoy them in.

I thought 6 cannoli would do...

...And I ate them all.
